Erin O’Neill - Freelance Writer & Editor
Erin O’Neill is a freelance writer who specializes in writing, editing and corporate communications. She’s published more than 200 pieces in her career and her writing has appeared in ELLE Magazine, The Washington Post, The Los Angeles Times, The Chicago Sun Times, Metromix (The Red Eye), SPACE Magazine, Modern Home + Living and Military.com.
She
holds a BA in English and Sociology from Georgetown University and an
MFA in Writing from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. She has also studied at the National University of Ireland at
Galway, the University of Iowa’s Summer Writer’s Workshop and The
Writer’s Center in Bethesda, Maryland. In 2008, she moderated the panel
“Writing the War: Literary Reflections on the Wartime Experience” at
AWP’s annual conference in New York City. In 2009 she moderated the panel “Writing in the Windy City: Local Writers Reflect
on Making it in Chicago”. She was a contributing editor to The Best of Fiction at Work, a compilation expected to come out this winter through The Green Lantern Press.
Erin is currently a writing instructor at Story Studio Chicago and is a freelance writer, editor and proofreader for a number of Fortune 500 clients. She's worked with numerous marketing and public relations companies, as well as governmental agencies to enhance their branding, communications and website content. She's also contributed writing, editing and print production services for a number of online learning projects around the nation.
